All or Nothing

Prompt- “Perhaps when we find ourselves wanting everything, it is because we are dangerously close to wanting nothing.” – Sylvia Plath

Which do you find more dangerous: wanting nothing, or wanting everything?

All or Nothing?

i believe that wanting everything is the more dangerous of the two actions. While wanting nothing might have to do with depression or in inner desires, I think that it is less likely to manifest where it effects others. While wanting everything a person must either have or want the ability to get everything. This leads to people interacting with others and effecting them in some way. Because it can effect others I think that wanting everything is more dangerous.

I know that for me and my friends we want to advance where we are in the world just being students at a university. We are here because we want more. Luckily none of us are going for the same kind of jobs otherwise it could be messy as we fight for the same spots in the world. This is why I never become real good friends with my coworkers because we are all working for the same promotion and that would lead to awkward situations.

Now in wanting everything another thing that my friends and I do in our desire is we play games. In game we can play out the owning of everything in games like pathfinder and end where our characters get filthy rich and can buy whatever they want. They have all of the items that they would ever want while exploring the dungeons or adventuring through the plains.

Now that is not really why we play but it certainly is a perk.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
